Well this was an elusive little hider. Not wanting to disturb the house owners I hoped over the fence and around the wooden garage and couldn't find it at all. Given past descriptions I should've had my antennae more finely tuned. having looked twice without success I went and knocked on Thatch cottage. the friendly woman was wholly bemused by what I was describing, took me through house into garden where husband Keith was chopping wood. He equally knew nothing about it. They'd been there about four years. As he and I walked round the south end of the wooden garage where I'd looked just seven to eight minutes before, there next to the wooden ladder leading up to the loft of the garage was a wholly ivy covered four foot high lump that I'd walked right past. Keith was fascinated and went off to get some secateurs and we revealed it again and I told him how the OS used them.

I had a great deal of difficulty in finding this one. Despite a lot of walking up and down the footpath and the lane to the nearby houses, I didn't spot it and went off to find Burton Common. On my return, I had a another go, just managing to spot a likely candidate behind the garage. I hopped over the gate to confirm. The condition is probably good but the ivy prevented confirmation. Plug intact. GR to 10m only.

TP5715 I tried to spot the TP from the same direction as RoPeHe's picture, but the car (Dutch registered!) was hiding it from that direction.
TP5715 Ivy!
TP5715 The intact plug leads me to suspect the condition is good under the ivy.

Congrats to the logger who found it. As I felt very suspicious pedalling up and down the footpath, a local said (unprompted) 'looks like he's pulled down the trig point'. We agreed that this was possible and I cycled off to the next one. There was a slight view of Hengistbury Head (with trig) but for some reason there is a proliferation of trigs in this rather dull and flat area. Perhaps someone could explain!
