Slightly tricky roadside parking (TQ 4703 0056). RoW not obvious across horsey land, suspect owners would rather there not be one. Pillar sits on open land at margins of undeveloped downland and large arable field. It has an odd arrangement not seen before at centre of the spider. Rear sight hole is open. Extensive panorama of sea and landscapes.

Well named; woods to NE full of rooks - and fox -on very murky grey morning. Found myself on ummarked path at top of woods, but easy access to field and then rolled under barbed wire to TP. Odd rusty threaded cap to plug, but TP in vgc and on a better day would be a lovely viewpoint.

When coming by car from the main road, there is a pull in just past the start of the footpath, near the start of the second footpath. Do not take this one by mistake. Only a fool like me would do that. The only other tricky bit is the crawl under the barbed wire fence to gain access to the FB made more difficult by the nettles. If you do not get caught from above you will from below.

This is on the field line just in front of some houses but the land is permissive so there's no problem with access. Lovely views over the sea. It has the weirdest plug I've ever seen - not standard OS issue, but why and what it's for is anyone's guess.
