11th visit, this time up from the Hepburn Woods car park and enjoyed the steep scramble up Hepburn Crags, well worth adding on to your visit if you're planning on doing Ros(s) Castle. When did that bench arrive up there? ~~ 04/02/23 Tenth visit, the 'usual route' from the roadside, in the company of Steve Lyon & Louise Evans. This was the first days Trig Point bagging I've done with Stevey since Mount Keen in March 2003 when I was on my way to compleating the Munros ~~ 24/09/22 Ninth visit, this time with Lucy Frost, a fantastic round from Quarry House to Blawearie, Bewick Hill Fort back via Hepburn Moor to Ros Castle. Trig sporting recent and immaculate coat of white paint. ~~ 24/02/22: Eighth visit, with Professor Yaffle, after a walk from Quarry House to Bewick Hill Fort and back via Blawearie ~~ 09/01/22: Seventh visit, with Simon Rushton - having just done the Cheviot in thick clag we stopped off on the way home to bag a Trig Point with fantastic views and a fabulous sunset ~~ 12/08/21: Sixth visit, with my cousin Jeff & his wife Jo, me doing the 'tourist guide' thing ~~ 11/02/21 Fifth visit, today in deep snow. The drive from Brownieside was interesting, to say the least, but the views today...wow. ~~ 02/08/20 My fourth visit to one of my 'Top Ten' Northumberland TP's, this time was first visit at sunset on a lovely evening. Views were simply breath-taking. Also marked Storm's 50th TP.

Parked in forestry car park at the bottom of the road, should have parked on the road near the path to the summit as would have saved us the journey up the road and the path to the summit is better than the one following the wall. However if we had we would have missed out on my return journey through the forest and around Hepburn crags. Didn't know this was a Marilyn, so didn't climb the wall to the true summit sadly and my conscience won't let me bag it either.
