Walked along beach and found a way up the steep grassy route to top of cliff. Short walk on top made easier by walking on old bales of straw. Easy to spot. This was our final IOM trig and the only one with a complete original plug.

Convinced Mr U2 that this was an easy one. Thought path was along the top of the cliffs but now read it was on the beach! We ended up caught up in some dense gorse and bracken and got slightly shredded. Back across the fields under cover of darkness. 1st trig on the island bagged only 14 to go ;-)

Bit of an epic since Mrs TJR told me it was a good track along the top. It wasn't, ended up trying to manover through loads of gorse, nettles, head high bracken, barbed wire fences and eventually arrived at the cache in twilight. took a different route back which took us to a farm barn. a quick retreat in the dark and just crossed fences and fields, sneaked by a house and eventually found the car park again. Not the greatest views but probably because it was dark. at least we could see Scotland.

As previous report, parked at Sartfield and walked along a very windy beach. Awful climb up the cliff and found the trig at the side of a mound of some sort. No other way off the cliff so walked along a bit until the cliff was a bit lower, but still difficult to get down.

Walking the coast from Kirkmichael via Blue Point to Andreas before catching a bus to Ramsey and another back to Kirkmichael. I appraoched the trig form the beach up a crumbling climb about two hundred yards north of the trig point then sdoubled back behind the large tumulus. Be warned that these cliffs are very crumbly and only ascend where grass covers the slope. Farmer ploughing in adjacent field so kept out of sight of him.
