Visited whilst running out of time to get back to Scarborough accommodation. It was late, foggy and there was plenty of traffic about, and although the gate looked fairly straightforward, I wasn't hugely confident in getting out again so decided to leave it for another day. It's definitely doable, though.

Visited after another lovely break in Bridlington with my daughter. A165 Scarborough Road with a perfect layby to park in to view the pillar. But that's all you can really do, as it is ensconced within the reservoir gates with no apparent way in. Condition appears good however and that's 18 trigs up now for Melissa.

As I've found out today, no climbing fences in the storm. Managed to brace against the fence long enough to get a good zoom on the FB. Getting bored of the wind now.

2nd bag after kayaking at North Landing, family stayed in the car which is understandable as this trig isnt reachable. Parked in adjacent layby and got a selfie through the fence. Itchy.

Technically with the Old Man and Sis#2, although they didn’t bother to get out of the car. A mile or so from our family home in the 60s and 70s, sadly I wasn't into trig bagging at that age, as I suspect it was free of fencing then. Now inaccessible, but FB visible through binoculars, all looked ok.

(625) Joint visit with Charles Everet. Very visible from the layby. Good condition. And looking lovely amongst the Daffs. REVISIT 27.12.19 Back in the area, so stopped by for another look - all remains good. Pillar history: Built on the 14th of February 1951, at a cost of £12 1s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in July of 1984.

(206) past this one numerous times but on this occasion the gates were open, initiated an emergency stop and pulled into the lay-by, A quick dash up to the pillar and managed to bag this previously elusive one.

Skirted around the compound for gaps,no luck,wasn't even contemplating scaling the fence,it's really not worth it,the trig is highly visible,looks in good condition,the fb was hidden by the grass.revisit 22/02/23 flush bracket clearly visible today,really close to the fence!!!

Easily visible from the southern end of the lay-by. Theres no need to get out of the car for this one. (And no point unless you plan to climb the fence, which is not advisible.)

A handy lay-by with no other users, but I didn't fancy climbing the fence. The grass was nearly too high to allow reading of the FB number with binoculars, but the wind helped.

The barbed wire has fortuitously (?!) been cut in a couple of places. I got in by balancing on a fence post, climbing onto fence and tarzan style via convenient tree. Getting out the tree was no good so I had to climb out over the gate with barbed wire in place - not something I'd like to repeat too often.

The trig is on a covered reservoir as the name implies. A chain link fence prevented close approach but the BM was readable through binoculars
