First trig of two today, visited during a 10 mile walk with the Ramblers on a beautifully hot June day, which we started from Hythe. The trig is located on the Elham Valley Way and in the middle of Sene Valley Golf Course, so very easy to find.

Parked in cup de sac to north east and walked up the footpath onto the golf course and headed west. Would have been easier to park in the golf club car park. Quite a few golfers around. Pillar located about 100 metres south east of the club house buildings, in the rough between two greens. It has some sort of electrical socket attached to it. A bit unusual. Pleasant location.

Handy electric socket attached! Near 4 th tee Sene Golf course. Obvious from bridle way to S. Roadside parking in housing estate. After fish and chips on hythe beach and en route to Channel Tunnel.

From golf club car park. Walked round the clubhouse to find the trig on a patch of rough ground. An original centre cap is retained, indented lettering; LHS and RHS sight holes open. A small electrical consumer unit has been fixed to the rear face with cabling disappearing into the ground - for course lighting perhaps. Limited views.

Walking the Elham Valley Way with Romeo Delta in the pouring rain & no-one on the golf course so able to stroll across the course & admire the trig. - spoilt only by the electrical box & cable fixed to the side!!

Birthday treat - return trip on the RH&D Railway from Dungeness to Hythe, with a quick trip up to the trig between trains. Great views, especially of the Folkstone white horse. Trig has the odd addition of an electrical socket (a first for me), S and N s/holes open, but otherwise vgc, metal cap, shallow letters.

Parked on Cliff Rd just West of bridleway to Lewty Barn. Took this bridleway directly up the hill and across golf course to Sene Farm then took the Elham Valley Way SW to the pillar. Pillar sits amongst the rough and has its original metal cap with indented lettering. FB faces East. North and South sight-holes open whilst a supply socket has been attached to the West face. According to the map shouldn't this be Sene (rather than Scene) Farm ?

Parked in golf course car park & made my way to reception/bar to see if it was Ok to check out the pillar. Very friendly man said no problem & gave me directions. vgc with cap & FB as well as mcb box attached. Beautiful scenery all around. Definitely worth a visit for the views

Walked up the bridle path from Cliff Road, the trees providing welcome shade on one of the hottest days of the year. Good views to North Downs including the Shepway Horse cut in the chalk; and to The English Channel and Romney Marsh.

You have been warned !

Wow - an electric trig! This must be a first! Located on the Golf course, easy walk up bridleway from road. Pillar is in good condition, and is supporting a fairly chunky electrical swith.

Still there, sunken lettering plug. The trig is now used for mounting the power switch for a markeque!
