(3130) Parked at farm entrance and took a quick snap and that was that. Crop in field but no pillar. It had survived for roughly 68 years before being uprooted. And relatively recently at that. A shame when that happens. Annoyingly, but forecasted, the rains started up not long after this one. So put Plan B into action and spent an enjoyable couple of hours at Hemswell Antique Centre. Pillar history: Built on the 12th of October 1948, at a cost of £8 6s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in December of 1982. Marked as destroyed August 2016. FB was S4805.

Parked in field entrance opposite the farm entrance. I hadn't read previous bagger's logs so from the map it looked like the trig would be in the hedge. Spent 10 fruitless minutes searching through the nettles before going back to the car and downloading the logs and a few photo's from TP:UK. I then realised that the trig should be in the middle of the field and that it's not there anymore. Went back into field to make sure I wasn't imagining it and took some photo's. It's definitely gone from its original location. The only question now is what was its fate: was it moved or was it destroyed?
