I was expecting this to be harder to get to then it was. The land owner has just renewed the fence next to the Trig and cleared all the vegetation from around it so making it easy to find.

Parked roadside on wide grass verge at entrance drive to Northwick Estate. RoW initially then along field boundary to trig. Fortunately previous logger did a major clearance of the bramble otherwise it would have been a trip back to the car for 'the gear' as brought nothing with me. Pillar found deep in hedgerow but quite accessible. Original cap in place, deeply indented lettering; front/L/R sight holes sealed, rear needs digging down to so undetermined. FB facing into wire stock fence and a lot of bramble, but photo possible with a little effort.

Well and truly buried deep in thick brambly and nettly hedgeline - but I only walked by it in field (full of pheasants) to N twice before managing to see the outline of one edge, so found it reasonably quickly. Then got well and truly scratched and stung beating a path to it. Top and FB inaccessible from N side. But I found it !

I had read the previous logs, so came prepared - but still had a terrible time finding it. In fact, I even went to the neighbouring farm [now a private house] and the owner said he had never seen it. However, went back through a gate into the sweetcorn field and then managed to find it. Had to go back into the bull field [no bull today, thank Heaven] to get the FB number, but impossible to log anything else about it as the brambles and nettles had consumed it completely. A real pearl!!

The Howard Hughes of trig points. I think you would be hard pushed to find this on without the assistance of a GPS at this time of year. It is buried deep inside a thick hedge. Eventually found it by kneeling down and noticing a very feint outline of a trig point. The flush bracket faces south. No chance of seeing whether the plug is intact.
