Roadside verge, needed 4" of turf removing. Standard 3/4" bolt in concrete block. Measured it at 0.82m from road edge; 2.4m from 'No Loading' sign; 1.8m from centre of the water flap; and 1.3m from the wooden post. Left it uncovered.

As Al said, there is an obvious surface block sized hole so measuring tape not required.

Surface block near Howwood station. Paint has now completely disappeared but easy find without sketch. Look for the obvious "surface block shaped hole loosely filled with vegetation". No real views to speak of.

Both the posts are gone and the white stripe has washed away. A wee dig found the little fellow in the undergrowth.. mmm.. nettles too :-(

Howwood ..nice day for a dig.

Easy find. The blue paint on the fence seems to be wearing off much more quickly than the white paint on the kerb.

White stripe has mostly faded away, but the nearest fence post has a handy blue splash.

In a hole covered with leaves and some sticky clay gunk. White stripe on kerb shows where to look.
