Bagged this with TP3122. Parking in Samphire Hoe. Sad to see that the TP has moved location to the bottom of the cliff. Landslide. on return from the 2nd trig, I run to the end of the sea wall and carefully made my way along the beach. glad to see it still in one piece on its side. would be cool the get it upright but I guess it wouldn't stay that way long. so now this is accessed from the end of the sea wall on samphire hoe, careful over the rocks. and a short distance away at the bottom of the cliff.

From St David’s Avenue, north of the A20, over the footbridge then through gate onto grassy footpath and headed west. Steep climb uphill to fence running about ten metres inland from the cliff edge. Pillar is about level with the second round pill box lower down the hill. Teetering on the edge. No FB but still irresistible to get as close as possible for shots. Third cylindrical Marilyn type of the day. View to west down to Samphire Hoe, east towards the harbour and France beyond.

This is another of the unusual cylindrical designs. An excellent viewpoint from here, overlooking Samphire Hoe and the sea. Sadly, I reckon this trigpoint is on borrowed time. There have been a number of landslides at Shakespeare Cliff recently, and the coastal path is now closed (although there isn't much stopping you from accessing other than a notice board)! I reckon it might topple into the sea within the next 10 years, so bag it while you can!

Found YSM313 Shakespeare cliff. Definitely the most memorable of the trip. Both for the excitement and the fact that I am a changed woman, two barbed wire fences and a wee ditch crossed in little or no time with no fuss, Mr U2 was beside himself with awe, I think he thinks someone else turned up at the airport for this trip! Firstly we drove down to the info centre through the tunnel after waiting what seemed like an age for the lights to change. Once down at sea level we had a conversation about 'it won't be up on the cliff top will it'.... After realising it might be we consulted a guy there who gave us a few options but nothing suitable, it took some time too, during which he informed us of all the dangers and made sure were had all the information for an informed decision! We ended up parking at the CCTV cameras as darkness was coming and crossed the 2 fences and across grassland to the Vanessa pillar. Interesting channel tunnel chimney vents around the area. #10 day#1 - most memorable

Having no caches on the GPS for the UK but YOSM caches, this was the only one I could do, parked up in the carpark and walked back through the tunnel, then a 200m walk to GZ along the footpath.
