I parked on the lane to the NW near the gate for the short walk to the pillar which sits on top of a rocky outcrop. It is in generally good condition and retains the original centre for the spider. Visibility was significantly reduced but I've taken the comments of others in to account who have alluded to views.

Eventually emerged onto lane at SK106635 and made for High Sheen Farm where I asked for permission. Owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. Informed me that trig is not on their land but the actual owner is happy for people to visit. They even gave me directions so I could avoid climbing walls and barbed wire! Take lane SW (signed to Brund) and after passing a few trees on your left look out for a stile immediately following a metal gate. From there head uphill, crossing broken walls and through open gates to the summit. A superb craggy top with excellent views across the Manifold and Dove valleys where several farmers were busy 'mowing their lawns'. Trig itself is obviously cared for with a lovely coat of white paint and original metal cap. However, one wire loop missing and chip on top edge - hence recorded as slightly damaged (see photo). Good view for such a little hill, bagged as part of circular walk from Longnor. Access from the minor road to the nort west of the trig is easy through the gate at grid ref SK 10908 62759.

great little rocky tor. the field below is a caravan club site, with one caravan, don't know how they parked it on the muddy slope...easy access up to trig from here - no bother

Again good views of the White Peak. There are no rights of way nor footpaths to this pillar, I took the footpath to the south east, then went cross country - lots of walls to traverse. Came down to the north and only had to open (and shut) a gate!
