Easy cycle to this trig. And its looks like it was stay dry. There is a gate to the east end of the field that makes access easy. The trig is next to a water trough. I saw no animals.

An easy bag, trig is located in a small paddock 30m in from the road. Minor road presents problems for parking, although there is space to pull in - with the car tilted precariously halfway up the embankment! Bank, hedge & b/w fence easy to negotioate with a little care. Pillar is in good condition; front and back sight holes open, the other 2 sealed. Original cap in place. Good views West to a distant ridge line and also partially to the North.

Three frisky ponies barred my way to this pillar: this was my 'Clash moment' - should I stay or should I go? What risks we trigpointers sometimes take; in the event, these ponies were merely inquisitive, and I suspect they lost interest in me when they realised I was not a bringer of food. We passed the time of day amiably enough, and they gave me permission to inspect trig no:s2476 which was in fine condition as others have reported.
