Parked at a convenient layby. Walkers are welcome as indicated by a sign nailed to a post. Pillar located beyond the masts and east of the hedgerow.Gap in hedge allows easy access. The June summer growth half hides this trig. Approach has great views west to Eildon Hills. Interesting remnant of a WW2 tower base located next to the masts, where high frequency radio signals were exchanged. Sacked off walking to this tower as the cattle were clearly on guard.

20/02/19 - Second Visit. In the area with A, needed to take the dogs on a short walk and thought the short stroll up to the old RAF Signalling Tower would satisfy her thirst for history. Might have satisfied her more if it was a medieval priory, but the dogs got their walk and I got a TP re-visit! 21/02/17 First Visit - Easy find close to very interesting WW2 radio tower. Good and extensive views in all directions considering this TP is less than 100m above sea level. The views are best observed from the Radio Tower, which has a handy view finder in it!

The track up the lane to the trig was a permissive path but has now closed, but a notice at the start of the track near the road states it's still welcomes responsible walkers.
