Visited both Eagle Hall Farm and Eagle hall High Wood Farm couldn't find anyone to ask permission. So stopped on drive near trigpoint and walked across to it,

(510) Sought permission to visit this one at Eagle Hall Farm, which was readily given. In fact, when I first asked about the pillar, the response was "Are you here to take the bloody thing away?" A pain for farmers, at times, I guess... Was able to drive up to the trig, and the field - despite the recent bad weather, wasn't muddy. No 'S' on the FB. A substantial lean to this one, and missing it's spider, but a nice one to bag. Added bonus of some good views from the location. Pillar history: Built on the 25th of March 1936, at a cost of 17 6s 8d. Last maintained by the OS in October of 1980.

Pillar is quite visible but this time of the year is not the time to visit it. Crops in full growth meant that I had to be satisfied with viewing it from the edge of the field. At other times it should be easily accessible particularly if permission is given from adjacent farm.

A was a regular visitor to a nearby village for about 30 years so I have taken a very long time to get around to visiting this pillar! Nobody at home apart from builders to ask permission of - needless to say they were quite happy. The pillar is out of alignment if not out of position so I guess at least moved is an appropriate description, but so is damaged!

No 'S' on the flush bracket number. The plug is missing, as is the tri-bracket. One hook is also badly damaged and the whole pillar is leaning at about 30 degrees to the vertical. Obviously someone has made a concerted attempt to remove it, without success. It's in the middle of a field, currently planted with winter cereals. No access by path so I asked at the farm. Super views over Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
