Nice easy access from parking outside the village hall opposite the Highwayman pub. Rain had cleared just as we arrived so enjoyed some sunshine as Shorty ran ahead to be first on top. Trig has been nibbled and has good views especially to west and Meldon reservoir peeks into sight too.

Parking at Sourton church; short walk SE to summit. Looked for 2 benchmark rivets on rocks near trig, but like looking for proverbial needle. Pillar has some weather damage: top screed badly cracked and partially missing; chunk of concrete missing from one vertical corner; numerous fractures. Perhaps should be re-classified 'Damaged'. Cap missing, no plug; rear sight hole only open. All this completely redeemed by the extensive 360deg views; E and S over the moors in particular.
