Without a metal detector or anything to show the grid reference this Berntsen survey marker was a little more challenging to find. However, with the assistance of photographs already logged on this site and a little rooting about in the undergrowth I did locate it. Once I pulled away the long grass and brushed away the small amount of loose soil with my hand I was able to see the cover was in good condition.

(1989) Littlemoor Lane for parking - the road does widen a touch near the farm entrance. Berntsen soon found, still largely uncovered, though the grass is beginning to get unruly.

FBM on a good day of walking with my mate, Tracker Dog, around Matlock covering high land where possible. Pleasant location with ok views in the vicinity. Riber Castle in process of being done up in to a hotel it seems; years ago it was a dreary dump of a zoo. (This is a corrected version, I mistakenly put this log on the other Riber FBM nearby, not realising there were two in the vicinity.)
