Parked in nearby Tennyson Road and walked up. What this roadside pillar lacks in interest, it makes up for in ease of access... almost. For an unassuming little single track lane, for five minutes this morning it seemed to be the busiest road in Devon! Couldn't get high enough to see the spider, but the rest of the pillar looks OK. No actual squirrels sighted. Excellent views for enthusiasts of traffic.

Accompanying a friend on a business trip to Exmouth we decided to log four pillars on the way back to Tiverton Parkway Station. Not the easiest access for this one as it is located atop a grass bank down a narrow lane.

Easy trig to find in a hedge beside the road. It appears to be in a good condition. I didn't see any squirrels around.

On the outskirts of Exmouth and easy to get to given it is on the side of a road, albeit a narrow and busy one. The vegetation means the views from the trig are nothing special but if you continue up the hill to the commons then there are superb views over the Exe Estuary.

Location of TP is correct on 2011 1:25,000 map. I expected a trig named Squirrel - in Summer Lane, too - to have a bit more charm but this seemed a rather forlorn TP whose plug is missing. The pillar stands on a bank with no foothold, so I grabbed it and hauled myself up for a photo.

Marked on the wrong side of the road on the 50K OS Map. In the hedge immediately adjacent to the road. If the road was a bit wider this would be easy, but there is nowhere to jump out of the way of traffic coming over the crest of the hill, so be careful. Much worse weather compared to that of geodruth's visit yesterday.

Bagged trig whilst on holiday in Exmouth with my dear wife. Trig is on a bank along a lane just further down from a very interesting small church called Point in View - well worth a visit.A la Ronde NT situated at beginning of lane.

Trigpoint is on south side of the lane, not north as shown on map. Parked in church car park a little way down the lane and walked back. Easy to find, FB faces the road, easy to read.

This was the last of the day for us. We picked it up on the way back to our digs. It is tucked up on the top of a wall at the side of a very snug lane. Maybe it is possible to get to it from across the (private!)field. The pillar is in good condition but I can't remember if all the brass is still there, I think the plug might be missing. ELV 95m
