vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Fine summit, grassy, steep sided; ramshackle shelter cairn. From ENE, rocky track thru wood then rough pasture, boggy at first. Shepherd on quad working his dog; the dog was close to me but intent on his masters instructions and completely ignored me. Continued E to Balantyre (Beinn Bhreac).

Excellent visibility for this visit, which was a detour from a square-bagging run out to the north of Sron Reithe. Superb views as far as Ben Nevis.

Up the prominent ridge on the way to Beinn Bhreac. Surrounded by a shelter and in good shape. Low cloud but good views along Loch Fyne and over Sitkaland.

Pillar in excellent condition. Spider retains OS cap with raised (narrow larger) lettering. All four sighting holes open, pillar bolt easily seen. FB faces slightly W of north. Very remote top, impossible to avoid bogs, expect to get very wet even on a dry day. Tertiary station in Block NS29, Greenock. Built 29th May 1956. Photographed 17/10/2006, GRP.
