Very wet underfoot, unsurprising considering recent rain (and snow). A fun ascent. Loved the windy path higher up, through the outcrops. Useful big rock just below trig to shelter from wind - it even has its own armchair shape weathered into it. Central plug missing from trig. Not the usual smooth concrete surface, looked quirkily individual. Interesting birdwatching too from the hide.

WOW! It was such a beautiful day today when we went up and the lack of clouds gave us stunning views. It was a little wet underfoot but nothing a pair of walking boots couldn’t compete with. Parked at the rspb car park and followed the path up from behind the gate as suggested. If you’ve got the free time on a nice day, Stac Gorm is a must!

Missing screw plug. Different construction from the normal cement. Not finding the path made for a difficult ascent but a very easy descent using the now obvious path. Unfortunately didn't have a lot of time to really appreciate all of the scenery as the rain was coming in.

Only one week late for my 15th anniversary event due to a family member taking a stroke. Lovely walk from the car park following the geodog up the muddy track. Some cracking views from up here of other trig pillars and Loch ruthven which has some of the rarest birds in the uk. I love trig pillars that are a bit different like this one. Cheers.

Parked at the RSPB car park in glorious sunshine and clear blue skies. There was a good covering of snow but no wind. I spotted the path just over the wooden fence and followed it to the large boulder and beyond. Here it gets interesting and cheeky because of numerous rocky steps, made even more interesting by the snowy conditions. The top was tremendous and felt like a mini alpine summit. Views all round had the camera clicking away. The trig was a nice square Vanessa type. Definitely worth 10/10.

Another one recorded retrospectively. There should be photos but I can't find them in my digital library. Only record I have is in my Walkhighlands blog. Just a note saying that there were fantastic views on a lovely day. Also went to Tom Bailgeann TP. Also went either on the day before or after to Easter Lovatt. Extremely memorable as the landowners father tried to deter me by implying he may shoot me by mistake and claiming access rights did not apply. I think I posted about this incident on the FB Trig point page. I also reported him to the access officer. Maybe the trauma of it all made me forget to log the trigs here! (hahaha)

Well what an adventure I made this into. Ignored instructions to look for path past big boulder and went along the loch side and then headed straight up, not a very good idea approaching madness, steep and boulder strewn very high heather meant I spent over and hour covering 500m. When I eventually met the path I was so grateful! The return journey down the path was not easy though, narrow and slippy, should have had my walking poles really!

Great views in all directions, with the Monadhliath range clearly visible in the distance. Met a couple of guys bouldering on the big rock on the way back down to the RSPB car park.
