Quick 2.5k walk. Parked outside Leigh Isle and walked through area before heading upwards and along coastal route. Path is pretty clearly marked. Great walk and fantastic views!

Walk from Portyerrock bay, passing the Mulberry Harbour concrete "beetle" in Cairnhead Bay. A steady climb past sites of historic forts and ramparts.

Good views. Last trig of the day, then got a take-away pizza in Newton Stewart. Surprising lack of places to eat.... pub at Bladnoch not serving food and just about everywhere in Wigtown and Newton Stewart closed.

We were staying at The Steam Packet Inn in Isle of Whithorn so after breakfast had a nice walk along the coast and up Stein Head to the pillar. Great views all around, especially the Lakeland fells.

Parking in Isle Of Whithorn, after lunch at the cafe, we walked along the road heading N then through what looked like holiday apartments? found the coast path from there (although it looks like you're going through some ones garden, once on the path, it is a nice stroll up to the pillar, in good condition amazing views today.

From the harbour car park. Costal path not signed but eventually gained from gap between houses leading to Stinking Port. The Isle of Man made a fine silhouette against the sky.

Parked at bend in road (NX 4803 3718). Took a direct line across a cattle pasture then silage field. Handy field gate to NW of trig. Pillar sits on a nice gorsey mound overlooking Wigtown Bay. Original centre cap retained, raised lettering; L & RHD side sight holes open. Extensive views.

Good condition pillar. Superb views from here to the Lake District and Isle of Man. Easy walk up from the village (once you find the gate behind the holiday chalets). FB faces W-ish with W-ish and E-ish sightholes open. Clear through, but the bolt looks knackered. Cap present with raised lettering.

I also struggled to find the start of the coastal path so ended up parking at N54° 41.889' W4° 21.773' and walked back through the town to find a route through to a gate at N54° 42.074' W4° 21.620', then along the coastal path to another set of gates near a gully at N54° 42.172' W4° 21.423' and onward to the the trigpoint, fantastic views. Suggest parking at N54° 42.025' W4° 21.724' which provides an easy route to the coastal path through what looked like holiday chalets to me.

Couldn't find a way onto a coastal path from the harbour area, so parked in the elbow of the B7063, west of the trig and crossed the field of grass. Nice views out to sea.

Great coastal headland top trig. Blustery but with good views. Walked up across fields from the café by the harbour and back into town through a gap in the houses via the coastal cliff top path.

Parked in village car park at NX478361. Coastal path leads on to trig. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with weathered raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket face 295° NW. Vented through NE & SW sight holes, pillar bolt visible. Southmost non primary pillar in Scotland = S8232, northmost pillar in England = S6232.
