Parked on grass verge/roadside near Cadger Ford ny7683 and walked up the bridleway through forest. This trig is situated on a rocky outcrop surrounded by a possible quarry. Fantastic panoramic views including the dam at Kielder.

Started from Dally Castle, farmer was around so asked permission to walk up to the TP. He was very helpful (if not somewhat bemused). Through gate N of the castle and follow the dry stone wall NE on its N side up a pasture field, through another gate and up Birks Moor to where the wood turns 90 degrees to the SW. through another gate. The next section is flatter but boggier, eventually the crags and the TP come into view. Good views north, decent views in other directions.

Intended to park in the track entrance at NY769840 but forestry vehicles were busy harvesting so drove on to The Bower instead. Followed the permissive path to NY747837 then forestry road to bridleway then caroleengels route. Fine location and view. I usually only post a photo of the pillar but I'll make an exception in this case and add a spider photo as none of the previous baggers has posted one.

No room to park by BW @ NY761834 but good parking at NY758833 - The Bower. Marked foot paths do not exist, so used tracks to reach BW @ NY752842. There is a gap with makeshift gate in wall corner @ NY751843 (slightly obscured by tree)

A rarely visited trig, only previously visited on 4 occasions and none for over 4 years, but well worth it. Walked up on the forest track from 769840 and then a rather wet firebreak to the moor edge. Crag looks like there's been old quarrying activity, some of the structures look ancient... will check records to see if anything known. Good Northumberland views across the forests & moors.
