Mmmm - it's such a shame really - this trig could do with some TLC - i mean right beside a woodland park - never mind visit ticked off - i parked down across from the farm and headed up to trig literally a few minutes - enjoyed our walk around the woodland very nice and good views of Aberdeen

Short walk in from Redmoss Walk. The area around the pillar has bottles and cans from drinking parties.

Reached from Kincorth Hill path southwards over long wet grass to the pillar on its hillock, hard by the barbed wire fence.

An easy walk up via the paths from kincorth. Very faint track from forest paths to trig, less than 200m. Pillar is on a mound, lots of small plants around the base. Not much of a view but a nice short walk.

Visited whilst van in local dealership having work done. I have no physical record of previous visit so wanted to make sure that I had really been. Joined footpath over Kincorth Hill at NJ945029. Last 40m of path to pillar along side barbed wire fencewas overgrown and very wet. Spider missing.

The access from Redmoss Rd is not longer possible due to a 6ft high barbed wire fence, dont know if its to keep the cows in or public out. So followed caroleengel's route.

Called in here on my way to Pittodrie. Approached this from the south (Redmoss Road), to find the pillar (open cap, three sight-holes open) positioned on a grassy hump on the other side of a barbed wire fence in an overgrown area.

Parked at RedMoss W where there was a small entrance into the park and followed the path up to the hill. A small trail led up to the trig which is surrounded by gorse.

Another one I failed to log, prehaps because of being traumatised by avoiding the cattle. It may have because I visited it shortly before becoming aware of this site. I visited it on a walk out from Aberdeen to Portlethen Village where I was in temporary residence between moving house.

Parked in Tollohill Square. Trig well guarded by nettles and barbed wire. Lots of earth moving activity in yard to south East.

Visited this point many times as a small child before I knew what it's purpose was. I seem to remember another a mile or so to the south-west - which may have been a temporary reference point used during the formation of the adjacent housing estate.

I came up as this is also a YOSM, parking on the lane below and walking up. Not able to touch the trig point as it was the other side of a barbed wire fence. Good views down to Aberdeen from here.

Trig was in a fenced off and overgrown area but could be accessed by walking along the barbed wire fence from the path. Also did the nearby cache.

At the edge of a country park amongst scrub. Pillar VGC. Spider centre open revealing rusting centre pipe. Flush bracket faces 83°, east. Vented through LHS sighting hole. Views to Broad Hill and Barons Cairn. Built 20th June 1949. Tertiary station in Block NO89, Aberdeen. Revisited and photographed 15/10/2005, GRP.

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 20th June 1949 costing £10.2s.0d. In 1950 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NO89/T56 in the Aberdeen secondary block Another walk in the dark. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1952. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in June 1989. The 1:25K map shows this as Kincorth Hill.
