(3209) Fairly easy to find. Still largely uncovered, just grass growth covering it up.

criss-crossed the recently mowed grass several times before spotting it mostly covered by a thin layer of earth and grass (cleared away). Start from lamp post on side road heading at 90 degrees to road and it's about 15 paces.

took 10 minutes to measure out, 7m from the stump of the fallen tree in a straight line to the lamp post got me there in the end.

Didn't take too long to find, Carole E assiting with the tapes. Used 2 measures - from the lamp post and the gas marker, as per the OS sketch, and intersected them. Still took a little prodding to come up with the tell-tale sound of steel on aluminium. An inch of 2 down under the grass.

Didn't really have enough time today for this one, so will need to return early in 2018.

No amount of measurements and photo comparing could find this wee fella.. and Ted's 'felled' tree is back up to around 20ft and looking well healthy!

7 m from Father Ted's felled tree, 11m from tallest gas marker post, 13 m from lamp post, 12 m from big sycamore tree nearest Norton Rd, under whose leaves the wretched thing was buried. Gps a fair bit out today so took a while. Make a straight line between sycamore and lamp post, and another between felled tree and gas marker post: Berntsen is where lines intersect. No longer on passives database.

Very easy to spot in the short grass, but even so my Etrex took me straight to it. Please note the tree mentioned and featuring in Father Ted's photo has now been cut down... see my own and Dusty's photos for the evidence.

Took me a while to find. I used earlier guidance, but I started with the wrong tree - the one nearest to Norton Road. But it is the tree nearer Eastern Way, more distant from Norton Road at the apex of a V of trees. The Bernsten was clear.

On the way to Nene Park to see Lincoln thrash Rushden & Diamonds, so couldn't resist a second visit now that Father Ted has done such a good job! I still had problems finding it but managed it in the end. As a further clue, if you park your car on the entrance to Norton Road, the bernsten is half way between Norton Road and the nearest tree on your right [as you face Eastern Way]. I dug it all out with the trowel so [for a bit at least] it should be easy to spot.

It was fortunate that the grass on the verge had recently been mowed and I found this after about five minutes searching using a GPS but no OS map as the link is down like Lathama says in his record. It sits on a line parallel to Eastern Way from the most westerly tree towards Daventry.

Couldn't find this either! Also, the OS link site isn't working and so I wonder if, like the FBM, it's gone missing?
