What to do when you have an hour's wait between trains in Crewe? Go and see a pillar that you know is not going to be there. It's all exercise anyway.

nothing much to add to previous logs, somewhere between the houses and the railway seems likely, probably near what are now the back gardens.

New garden fence errected around the area

Thanks to the pellet holes in the fence, I could see that it was not in the garden. I got within 5m of the ref, on the corner of the gardens. Crewe-Stockport Railway nearby as well. Houses got the pillar.

Not on the map. Think it was lost to the houses. got to 30ft away but thats the gardens of the house's backing on to the main train line.
