Was tired but the walk up to the trig on the path through the barley was great. The sun was setting an orange red glow, a dragonfly kept up with me part way and by chance picked up a stone with a bivalve fossil in it. The view with the sky made a fine end to a long day. Two and half hour drive back to Sheffield.

This trig point is situated on a visible but not well used or well maintained footpath that runs east-west between the villages of Wootton and Tackley in Oxfordshire. The foliage was almost waist high in places. The trig point is complete and in good condition. It is aligned on the compass points with the flush bracket on the north face. The views are mostly flat and uninteresting farmland but the land drops away to the south giving a reasonable view towards Kidlington in fine weather.

The trig point.... ... is just visible above the weeds and stuff growing around it.
The flush bracket... ... was visible once I'd cleared the weeds away.
