A party of 3 Spent a good 30 minutes probing the nettles and brambles, almost at the point of defeat when we called for a time out and reasoned the Bernsten would most likely be close to the path and not in the brambles. Once found the GPS signal improved to give a pretty good location Location is 0.50m from path and 13.58 from bus shelter.

Not a chance. Even though the undergrowth was low and the weather good, there is far too much dumped compost on top of this area to make searching possible. I think it would need a shovel at the lease and better still an OS diagram.

Decided to have another blitz at this. Got to GZ with a really good GPS signal and cut back all the vegetation in a 12' radius, raked it away and then spent the next hour with the dibber finding stones! This is shown here as a Berntsen and on the OS page as a flush. Either way this is going to need a metal detector to uncover it. If anyone has one and fancies a hunt email me and I will come along.

Located in the nettles and brambles between the footpath and the hedge on the broad verge of the A48. I waded into the brambles to the position where it should be but it was not revealed by kicking aside the undergrowth. I did not have the tools or the determination to delve any deeper. A small wooded hill can be seen to the south and to the north Gray Hill can be seen.

Was determined to be the FTF on this one so armed with thick gloves and shears we spent an hour clearing a great swathe through the brambles. Got to ground zero with 14' GPS accuracy but no sign of the trig. Next visitor please take the same kit and carry on where I have cleared, it can't be too far away!
