Forest parking walked the track ,Trig stands on a mound easily spotted

Parked at entrance to forest. Simple walk up and after taking right at fork in the road trig appears in clearing on the right hand side on a mound. Second mound nearby looked higher investigated for second trig (had a block on it and a huge frog/toad at a wet overgrown centre but nothing else) Were remains at trig mound too so could have been there too! Trig is a little lower than others but FB and spider were in place, cap was missing with sight holes buried.

Our third primary of the day. Short walk up from off road parking (B4337). Could have lingered longer and explored the environs, but we were on a mission to log four Welsh primaries today, so we headed for Aberystwyth. I've uploaded a panorama for the vista.

Too hot for me, 28-29C. Short walk up from parking area by road. On tumulus in patch of Rosebay. visited the other tumulus close by in case it was higher (I know how picky some baggers can be)

This trigs nicely concealed by surrounding forest, doesn't reveal itself to you till you're pretty close.

Cymru am byth This was a good one to bag in an area we haven't explored much yet.

Easy to get to, short walk from parking up forestry tracks. Nice little circular walk also from car park if you have time with good views.

Easily accessible. We parked in gateway and walked up track. Trees all around but the trig is in a clearing.

This was a great spot! A quick walk up the hill and this is easy to spot, and the panoramic views on this beautiful summer evening were fantastic. Trig is in good order complete with plug.

I was driving from south to north wales when I went up a hill and though there is bound to be a trig point up here. Got out the GPS and found there was one within 300meters so scampered off up the track. I was even hoping it was a Marilyn that I hadn't visited. Dab news though when I got home to find that that it was not a Marilyn but its aslo a trig I have visited before. Never mind. I needed to stretch my legs.

In mid-Summer this TP gives magnificent views to mountains on three sides and over the sea on the fourth side. The evening of my recent visit was cloudy, but still a glorious sunset! But get there quckly for the conifers that surround it are growing fast and soon it will be enclosed for more than a decade with brown wood and pine needles.

On the second of the 4 Trichrug round barrows from the 2nd millennium. 3 round cairns and a ring cairn.

Trig stands on one of three tumuli on Trychrug. Looking South West from the trig Castell Perthi-mawr an Iron Age Hill Fort can be seen on a clear day.

Situated in a pine forest that has been felled in the area of the trig so no problem finding it. Trig was originally numbered s1587 but was later rebuilt. Plug with raised lettering.
