On a round of hills from disused quarry parking at NB 1916 3055. Approached from Griosamol to the SE. Pillar sits at the end of the rocky outcrop of Conostom. Bult without a Flush Bracket; original centre cap retained, raised lettering; sight hole facing roughly north is open, other 3 sealed. Extensive panoramic views.

Approached from the east up Gil Uilisgir (see 1:25000 map). The barren rocky summit really feels a whole world away from the cosy visitor centre at Calanish I was supping a milkshake in a few hours earlier. There appears to be a clear line of sight back to the standing stones, so if any trig painter fancies a challenge then this is one pillar that could certainly benefit from a quick coat of paint. Revisited 15/09/2013 on a Marilyn bagging walk with Jonathan de Ferranti and Alison Fox.
