Approached from the east up Gil Uilisgir (see 1:25000 map). The barren rocky summit really feels a whole world away from the cosy visitor centre at Calanish I was supping a milkshake in a few hours earlier. There appears to be a clear line of sight back to the standing stones, so if any trig painter fancies a challenge then this is one pillar that could certainly benefit from a quick coat of paint. Revisited 15/09/2013 on a Marilyn bagging walk with Jonathan de Ferranti and Alison Fox.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Built without FB. On bare rock. Superb rocky summit; great view, especially to N. From NB171270; back via Beinn a Charnain (Yeaman).
