Took a bridleway busy with walkers and cyclists W, to avoid the A61/A619, through the house's grounds to High Weardly. From there back lanes and rolling countryside with a couple of steep bits to the Dales Way BW, then up the slope S towards the trig. There was a tractor spreading the cut grass for drying, I waited till it got near and it pulled up. I asked the driver if I could walk up to the trig using the field edge, she said no. It was a tad frustrating, I could see it but you have to respect the farmer. It's not a proper 'bag' for me, but it'll do. Off to Stairfoot Lane trig.

The pillar Sooner or later a farmer will come along and secure something to the pillar with a length of sisal !
Flush bracket
The pillar Tucked between a stone wall and a wire fence - at least it is protected. The New Inn can be seen above the wall on the horizon.
Landscape from The Dales Way. Pillar is behind trees up there on horizon.

Easy access and reasonably visible. From the Dales Way Link Path turn north up western field edge with hedge on your right. The trig point is situated between a wall and a wire fence - the latter being tied to the trig. Some good views of the surronding countryside. Plastic cap.
