Day 10 of 13: Anglesey to Holmfirth walk. Wow, what a trigpoint, just perfect. Headed up from Congleton after a night at the Lion and Swan. This is one of the best trigs I have ever visited. The views are amazing. Even more so as we could see the line of our epic walk, right back to Moel Famau and Raw Head trigs. The 360 views are far and wide, with a viewfinder to assist if required. A lovely lady took this collectors edition photo of me and my brother - I can't remember anyone offering to do this before! Off the Cheshire plain then, and to the Peaky via the Dane Valley Way next.

Aasphalt plug; RHS sight hole open. No views today - on The Cloud and in the cloud.

My plan for today was to visit this trig point, two Geocaches and and Earth Cache at the Cloud up in them there 'ills above Congleton, then continue towards Macclesfield for one more Earth Cache. So, having arrived and parked at a small cut-in, I made my way up to the summit. It was a good path and easy going underfoot, the views even for a hazy day were splendid, I kept stopping every few yards just to take it in. Once at the summit I obtained the pillar data then spent quite some time soaking up the atmosphere, what a fabulous place this is.

Full 360 views although those to the West across the Cheshire plain are too flat for me. Views NE across the Staffordshire Peak District are good though and include The Roaches, Shutlingsloe and Axe Edge.
