Bagged on a detour from a circular walk from Kirk Yetholm via Currburn during the heatwave; despite the heat it was a surprisingly easy climb up the Currburn side of the fenceline on the low level Pennine Way route. Great views across the Borders and Cheviot Hills.

glorious walk from Duncanhaugh joining the Pennine Way after the camel of Currburn, the Schil and then down leaving the Cheviot for more wind-hardy types, then wandering over the valleys and hills of the border Cheviot back to Yetholm - wonderful to see College Burn yet again.

Parking and route as per Borderer. This was a good opportunity to walk the low level Pennine Way route; when I did the PW I finished using the high level path. Excellent views throughout the walk and also at the pillar.

Parked in the last passing place on the public road before Burnhead Farm and followed the Pennine Way to the saddle between Black Hag and the pillar then followed the fence line to the summit (a bit wet the last bit). Really decent views made better by great clouds.

Bagged this trig on a circular walk from Hethpool going via Elsdonburn, Eccles Cairn, White Law, Steer Rig, The Curr, Fleethope and return up the College Valley. Trig is easy to get to, just off the Pennine Way but not visible from the PW path. The surrounding ground can be a little wet after rain but nothing serious. Trig is in good condition and retains plug and spider. Great views to Cheviot (which was covered in cloud) and The Schill plus a cracking view of Windy Gyle and much of the border ridge. Also excellent views into the Scottish Borders. The Newton Tors are visible along the entire walk. Small stone on top of trig.
