A circular, dead patch of grass gave away its location. Dug away the turf, replaced it after photographing. Measured it at 5.35m from centre of front edge of bench seat, and 2.95m from edge of tarmac.

First looked, 19th Sep 2009. This time after a long search I found it. 16.5ft from left hand corner of bench whilst sitting. 21ft from corner of stile.

we looked for this for ages, then spoke to the woman who owned the house next to this piece of land, turns out the trig is actually on grass which part of her front garden! however it has been covered over by the grass for quite a few years, so long in fact the woman couldnt actually remember exactly where it was!

Not very easy to find, 99% covered by grass.Was about to give up when I saw what looked like a piece of silver paper in the grass.Touched it and found it was metal, the result is in the photo. Good views on a sunny day

This is the first time I have come across one of these (thus the 6/10 for interest). It is a small, saucer sized plaque sunk into the ground. In this case, it is almost overgrown by the (well-kept) lawn outside a house on the crossroads. To find it, get to the cross-roads and sit on the public bench looking over the valley. The plaque is down the slight incline about 15ft directly in front of you.
