Farmer more than pleased for us to visit the Trig .we drove all the way to his bungalow. Told us in great detail every name of the hills around. A pleasure chatting to him.

Parked at the Village Hall, walked up the road past the Plough, then through a wide gap in the hedge, up the hill, pillar in a paddock, easy step over the fence.

On east side hedge so only accessible from house (The Friars). Owner friendly - no problem

Went up house access track and found owner making repairs in preparation for his daughter's wedding reception in a marquee there later in the year. Kindly allowed access, but he seemed glad of someone to talk and it was difficult to get away! Not a high location, but a huge all round view to many of the surrounding landmark hills - even Cotswolds when clearer I was assured!

Got to this trig by way of asking at the house. The owner was very pleasant indeed and referred to me as 'one of those enthusiasts' which isn't a bad label to have I suppose! The view from here is actually surprisingly good I thought (it was a clear winters day), and the trig is in good condition if somewhat green!

Parked at pub.Asked permission at house. The kind man there,i.e. at The Friars, told me how he could remember men coming to use & paint the pillar but that they have not done so for a few years now.Nice trig though no real views. After, i followed the Herefordshire Trail up to the reservoir (200m & great views),then explored Athelstans Wood before returning the same way.Nice day.

all you have to do is ask! 187m

Bit of a sneaky trespass around the field edge from the south, although I could have gone to the house to ask permission. View limited by field boundaries.
