Third of 6 today, an unplanned bonus TP as we needed to head to somewhere (St Boswells) where we could top up with petrol. Other than the view West to the Eildons, this is a rather unassuming TP, stuck in a hedgerow halfway up a low hill.

Often passed this but never visited due to growing crops and a fear of A68 traffic. The fields had just been harvested so I was able to pull off the A68 and from there a quick walk along the hedge. The pillar is in a gap in the hedge and is accessible from either field.

St Cuthbert's Way #2: hope old Cuddy had good wellies as his walk is currently a mud bath. But rewarded for our efforts by a stunning kingfisher in the sun on the Tweed. To the Buccleugh Arms for lunch so a small detour en route. Great view of the Eildons. All four s/holes open, S and W mostly below ground, metal cap deep letters and resident colony of very nice stripey snails.
