(3345) Parked in Kirk Ireton and walked down to the start of the PRoW. Followed that until the trig field, but bulls in the field - annoyingly this has put the kibosh on a good handful of pillar visit for me of late. Least this time the pillar could be seen, and quite clearly at that. Initially tempted to log this as 'good' but 'unreachable but visible' seems more apt all things considered. Will return at some point. Bonus BM on gatepost on the way back. Pillar history: Built on the 20th of September 1938, at a cost of £3 13s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in July of 1983. FB is S2272

A little tucked away behind the gorse, but pretty easy to find. Take the public right of way along the lane off Broad Way, across two stiles - I then followed the visible path down the field and round to the right, but this means you'll have to then climb vertically up the hill to the right to find the trig.

Parked on Broad Way. Took the public right of way (PRoW) from there. Once into the trig field, walked up a hill to the pillar. There was a group of people already there when I arrived who asked me to take their picture as a group, which I did. There is a crack on one side of the pillar as others have reported, as well as some chunks missing at the top, including around the spider. However, comparing my photos to those of others, fortunately the damage does not appear to be getting any worse
