Parked at the Co-op and headed round the back by the bins and picked up the path between two fences which took you easily all the way to the trigpoint. Lovely sunny day, excellent views.

Easy path beside coop petrol station on A923, I chose an alternative - not so easy with lots of fences. Local parking available but I chose the pleasant walk up through Camperdown park, 15 mins from car park.

Parked at the Co-op and headed round the back by the bins as the path wasn't immediately obvious (it was nearly dark!). Once behind he fence I found the path which took you easily all the way to the trigpoint which must be well visited by locals.

Parked in Post Box Road, and took the badly littered footpath up to the Roundie. Surely the Co-op has a responsibility here to keep the path free of litter most of which seemed to come directly from their premises - much large packaging evident. On the Roundie the pillar seemed in good condition although its covering of green lichen made full examination difficult; asphalt cap. Favourite haunt of dogwalkers; had to be careful where you walked; called in at the Co-op and mentioned the litter mess - the woman there said she'd let the boss know tomorrow......

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 18th May 1948 costing 5.9s.0d. Later in 1948 this marker was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NO42/T34 in the Dundee secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1970. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in November 1971. In a copse by the village of Birkhill on the outskirts of Dundee. Can be approached from the east or the north.
