Have marked as 'Couldn't Find It', as it may well still in place, but if so then under a metre or more of top soil in the 'village green' bounded by Farfrae Cres and Gabriel Green, in this modern residential housing estate. Unlikely this will ever come to light again.

The site of the trig is in an area of well kept grass surrounded by suburban houses in the southeast of Dorchester. It was not apparent on the surface. A few cursory prods of the turf did not reveal its location. I thought the local residents may take exception to a full scale excavation so I did not investigate further. Looking at the OS photo for Station Number H1SY6989 I was clearly looking in the right general area but a metal detector would be needed to pinpoint it if it is still in situ.

The grassed area where the Bernsten should be has been landscaped. If the house builders didn't disturb it then it will have be buried under several feet of earth etc.

No longer in the OS PSD. The location is a green in the middle of some rather new houses. Didn't have a metal detector, but prodded around quite a bit to no avail.

This Berntsen should be on the green surrounded by Farfrae Green ? The link to the detailed OS diagram was down. ahead of my trip. so I only had the GPS reading to work with. I spent 15 minutes approaching from every angle and prodding away in vain I bet the inhabitants wondered what I was up to. Better luck to the next visitor.
