This was the last of four Trig points found on a circular run from Roundhay Park. This one was probably the find of the day, not least because of a Red Kite keeping a close eye on things from above. The Trig point is on a public right of way, which I accessed from the LCW.

Fields harvested and everything dry underfoot which was fortunate, as my old boots gave up the ghost on me as one of the soles partially detached. Nice! Pillar is good condition - minus the centre cap which has been replaced by plastic. Pillar history: Built on the 3rd of November 1937, at a cost of £4 13s 6d. 4/4 of a cycle trig hunt. I used my year 2000 OS 1:25k map not thinking there'd be any significant change for this trig. There was. The FP access from Mangrill Lane had been diverted further S which caused a bit of confusion. I found the trig eventually, its head sticking up over the hedge tops. An enjoyable day, my first bunch of trigs in this coronavirus year. What struck me was the number of walkers, cyclists and horseriders who were enjoying the good weather and great countryside, and everyone's relaxed friendliness.
