Parked at Mile Oak farm (which provided some lovely refreshments on my return!) for a lovely walk in the sunshine along the ROWs. Trig is in an area of gorse but if you approach in the right direction it's next to a path so no need to get stabbed! Or you could ignore this advice and do what I did and head through an overgrown path in the gorse and get scratched to pieces!

I parked at the end of the road to the east near Mile Oak Farm (from where I was also able to visit Mount Zion). Then used mapped and walked paths up to the pillar. It is just off path in what I would describe as scrub land but easy to see and access. In good condition but the original metal plug has been replaced by a tramac like one. Views from the pillar itself are somewhat restricted but away from it very good.

From Errigham trig to here, number 2 today, exactly one hour walk from trig to trig, how weird. Camera out of battery now so had to use phone, and of course, no tripod. Thankfully it is a busy dog walking path, so collared some passer by. Trig in good condition but cap missing and filled with tarmac...should this be classed as damaged? On to trig number 3, Mount Zion.

We parked at the top of Upper Kingston Lane and walked north along the footpath. Beware - there are a lot of irresponsible dog owners out there who don't clean up after their dogs! In good condition among scrubby bushes. Had to shelter under a tree from thunder, lightning and hail on the way there, but the sun had come out by the time we got to the trig, which produced a rainbow over the Downs. A fox came out of the hedge at one point, calmly looked at us and then turned back the way he had come.
