Elev 533m on Clee Hill near Ludlow, Shropshire Enjoyed a strenuous walk up to the top of the hill and was rewarded by great views of Shropshire and a slightly battered trig point. The radar station is one of the main UK sites for the NATS National Air Traffic Services.

There is no 'S' letter on the flush bracket! Central plug is missing and there is slight cracking on the north face of the pillar Good re-inforced concrete base. Excellent views in all directions, marred only by the radar station. I intended to get here last week but when I got onto the hills the A4117 was blocked by several inches of snow and everywhere was total chaos! Oh, the vagaries of the English weather......

A grey, chilly day. Two very contrasting sides to a hill. Old quarries spooky but with plenty of man made detritus and some dumped cars. Blasting and lorry noise from Hansons open quarry. Buildings spoil summit. Trig seemed in pretty good nick. Climbed from Clee Hill but approach from N looks much nicer.

Always a good bet for a white Christmas. The summit is a striking place as long as you have your back to all the CAA stuff behind. Very wide ranging view from here.
