A little tricky to locate in a rough verge with long grass. Measured at 2.5m to road edge; 2.4m to wall (1ft to right of orange plastic disc stuck in wall), 20.1m from Give Way sign. Dug away turf and left it uncovered.

(385) Parked up in the layby down Green Man Lane, and then took the short walk back towards the A15, and the trigs general location. The famous Orange lids are still present, and the Berntsen was soon located. Only a light covering of soil needed to be removed. All good.

Took a few minutes to find so for those equally bad at finding these things:- on S verge, 2.5m back from road edge. On higher part of old stone wall see two large faded orange lids stuck horizontally into wall. Berntsen is about 1ft R of a direct line to these lids, under deep grass but otherwise unburied.

Parked in layby on Green Man Lane at TF 0200 5860 and walked back towards the A15. The ‘orange’ plastic markers in the wall were invaluable in helping to find the Berntsen which required just a little pushing back of long grass to view.

Plastic bits still in the wall although they are now very faded. Not a good view frrom here but marked higher as the adjoining field was full of opium poppies! Thought I was hallucinating!

This berntsen remains easily found, thanks to the two plastic lids in the wall. GR to 10m only.

Our first Berntsen and only found this because someone mentioned the orange lids, I had downloaded some incorrect data to my GPS and everything was about 150m out. Would have done Ashby, Ashby-Lodge and Navenby if i had not had those problems. Not much else to say about it the pictures don't show. It's Lincolnshire, it's flat.

This one took a bit of finding! The measurements on the OS sketch are probably accurate, but the drawing is most misleading! Once found, it becomes clear why there are two orange plastic lids pushed into the wall, right in line with the Berntsen!
