Parking ok in Tresham village, approx 3/4 mile from the trig, which is located on a field boundary 130m from the public path. Cow pasture in one field, recently planted arable crop in the other. A cold frosty day with the cows all tucked up in bed. Ground quite hard, so no mud problems. Extensive views, but all a bit hazy and they didn't look too impressive. Pillar, mounted on a substantial plinth, is in good condition, plug missing, rear sight hole open, front closed.

Seems to be part of a new art installation entitled Trigs Spread With Muck. Hmm. Easily found, follow track from Tresham and leave ROW over wall to SE before barns. Pillar in generally good condition, concrete base exposed to 6 inches or so. Plug/cap missing; FB faces NE; SW sighthole open, all others plugged. No real views to speak of today - a little hazy and overcast.

The pillar sits on a 1 foot plinth next to a concrete topped dry stone wall. The site was reached by way of footpaths and tracks from Ozleworth Bottom. It has FB S2535 and lacks a cap or plug. Not the best visibility this afternoon; the available view was largely over the large fields of the Cotswold plateau with a scattering of dry stone walls and a few trees. The Somerset Monument can be seen to the south west; the outline of a low ridge beyond the Cotswolds could just be made out in the distance to the west and the wooded ridge on the other side of Ozleworth Bottom was to the north, the Goose Green transmitter was blocked out by the nearby barn. The area is within the Cotswold Hills AONB. It was a rather bleak crossing of this flat summit but Ozleworth Bottom was sheltered and quite pleasant, although rather muddy. Snowdrops were out near the cottages and a buzzard was hopping around on the path near the woods.

I could see little in the fog and gathering gloom, so turned off the main farm track through a gate unto tractor tracks along a stone wall which appeared to be heading in the right direction. When the wall ended without the expected building, I turned north and following another stone wall, found the TP.
