Passed this many a time but never ventured over but needed to complete this one to finish off the pillars in the area. Quick walk up from car park, steep but better than the last time but that was when it was the last climb on the loop! Flush Bracket, Spider in place cap filled and adored with plaques. Base getting a little exposed. A little cloudy on top today but better views to the south.

Walked from car park to filter house at the old dam which is no longer there. Crossing the line of the dam to a footpath which is paved / stepped almost to the top. Fantastic panoramic views of all the fell towards Pen y Fan

Visited during a horseshoe taking in Pen y Fan and the surrounding peaks. Cheerfully heading up the ridge to PyF and happened to look over my shoulder and noticed the trig about half a mile behind me. Doubled back to bag it, my mate Chris was delighted. Handsome trig in a great position, excellent views on this fine day.

A great walk up from the car park to the south of the Neuadd reservoirs via Cribyn and Pen y Fan, then on over Corn Du and south along the ridge this trig before dropping down the steep path to below the reservoirs again and back to the car. Mixed visibility on the walk with Pen-y-Fan in cloud. 642m Me, Simon, Caspar, Mary, Elizabeth, Heyko

Walked past here several times in my pre-trig-bagging days, but don't recall seeing the pillar so a quick nip up from the reservoir to bag it on a fine morning. The new path is coming on, top 100m or so is done. Pillar is be-decked with the red dragon stencil. Top plug has gone, asphalt replacement; all sight holes are open. There are 2 memorial plaques on the rear for soldiers KIA in Afghanistan: L/Cpl Richard Larkin 2008, and Lt Chesterman 2012. A fine panorama, although Pen y Fan is mostly obscured by Graig Fan Ddu.

what a foul day. walked with Laura W. from resv. cant park right by dam anymore so parked as near as. Trig in good nick with dragons on 2 sides... funny..you dont see many patriotic trigpoints. this ones in a bit of a strange spot too.. not being on a highest point or at the edge of a significant drop..still, i'm sure the OS knew what they were doing. continued on our horseshoe.. it rained, sleeted, hailed, blew a gale.. and once we were off Cribyn the skies cleared..one of those days!

Lovely day, nice trig, good views of the Pen y Fan horseshoe. I came from the North up Cefn Cwn Llywch and over Pen y Fan but the easiest access would be from the car park by the reservoir to the East. The site was occupied by a member of HM armed forces acting as a base station for a "NavEx" who very kindly took a picture of me and the trig.

Walked the horseshoe spotted the trig on the way back down to the lower dam at Neuadd. Not the best of weather for a July walk. But stunning views all the same. Hard walk up Cribyn & Pen y Fan.

Combined in a long circular walk round the Brecon Beacon summits this is a very isolated out of the way trig point in such an unusual position...! Its not on any high points.

I am now relaxing in a Youth Hostel in Wales in the middle of a weekend lads hike around the Brecon Beacons with Craig. Yesterday we went on a 10 mile hike around a horse-shoe shaped ridge and up and down three mountains, Fan-y-Bîg (719m), Cribyn (795m), and Pen-y-Fan (886m), none of which had a trigpoint! My knee started hurting but then we got this one at Twyn Mwyalchod which cheered me up!

Start from forestry carpark below, frosty morning made for an interesting climb up, large sections of ice on the scree. Trig good order, Plaque to SAS everest mission.

End of my circuit around the "Fans" ,weather still grey and murky ,visibility about 30 metres at best ...normal Beacons stuff. Pillar in good condition ,muddy descent down to a very empty Lower Neuadd Resevoir ...lowest i have ever seen it.

There are stone chippings on 2 sides. Stunning views of all the many surrounding landmarks on a beautiful day. No one else near the trig.

Bagged Pen.Y.Fan and Corn Du as well as Twyn Mwyalchod trig in a 18.5 mile walk, then popped up to do Brecon Camp (Pen.y.Crug) afterwards.

Base pretty eroded. Most people ignore this trig having climbed up from Taff Fechen they head off right towards Corn Du where as in actual fact the walk to the trig is only a slight detour.

Twelve mile circular walk around Brecon Beacons. Parked at top of pass from Talybont Reservoir. Have visited this trig point in the past.

My log says: "On a walking weekend. Headed straight up W from CP at end of road. Summit in mist so no views." Now it's 10 years later & I can barely remember this experience...ahhhh, the ravages of time!

The only trig on the Brecon Beacons Horseshoe walk from Neuadd Reservoir since the trig on PenY Fan has been destroyed. There's a small plaque to an airman on the trig. Plug missing.
