Thank you to the lady who gave me permission to go over the fence behind her house into the trig field. It's was very overgrown again, did a lot of cutting to get my way in and blood was split again. Have made a small tunnel through the brambles to gain access.

Approached the area from the SW, very narrow and steep lanes, the hedges and vegetation from both sides were brushing against the sides of my car, grass growing in the middle of the lanes. Scary stuff, but an exciting adventure! Parked in front of the metal gate of Ty Wilson Barn, then went to the wooden gate where I stroked the 2 collies and sporadically shouted "Hello?!" for about 15 minutes (no doorbell at gate) until a nice lady happened to open the house door to let the dogs go inside. I enquired about visiting the trig, she said that it's not on her land, but I could go through her land and hop over her rear fence. Hopped over the rear fence, then went left. Trig was in the field (very long grass) behind her land, immediately next to the fence, totally engulfed in brambles and thorns, impossible to find without GPS, and even when found, nearly impossible to see it through the vegetation. I.e. you have to be standing in front of it before you can just about see it, if you're lucky. I chopped it all down (hard work for the amount of chopping required!) to expose the bottom part of the trig. Top not observed, BSM-style FB faced towards the fence (i.e. away from the field), I managed to stick my arm round the trig to take a photo of the FB. I left a 2p coin in the left sighthole (left side of the trig if you're looking at the FB; i.e. right side of the trig as you look at it from the field) for the next visitor to find. Now that I've exposed the trig, it's easy to find! Otherwise best to visit this trig in the winter.

As we only go to this site after visiting a pillar you can imagine the problems we had in finding this one, especially as the sun was rapidly setting. Eventually we sighted it in the depths of the hedgerow. There is a footpath into the field in its far corner, footpath sign visible to car passengers as you come up the lane to Coed-Cwnwr. No parking though, park by the church.

Took the lane from Llantrisant called The Hand, which turned out to be a very muddy track! Lucky we seen the owner outside of the barn , he kindly took us through his garden ,over fence into field to find trig. Had to trim the brambles to crawl in to find faceplate. Wonderful views over the Usk Valley.

Drove up to Ty Wilson on the lane running north east from The Hand after visiting the Wentwood trig. This lane is narrow, muddy and steep with grass growing in the middle. It was like a mini adventure into the unknown. Saw the friendly dogs at the barn but didn't disturb the owners. It was good to see the views and didn't mind not actually finding the pillar. Drove back down through Llewelyn's Dingle.

This trig has been moved, my GR is the new locat. As noted by the previous baggers it's now on fence line at rear of a small-holders garden - 2 very feisty sheep dogs, but proved friendly enough once owners came out. Owners were also friendly and allowed me to jump over their rear fence into field to view pillar. Well covered with bramble, FB facing fence. Managed to clear some brambles and get a photo of FB by trial and error by extending my arm into the brambles. No damage noted to pillar (unlike my arm), metal cap with engraved lettering.

I looked at the photos from previous visitors and got suspicious that this one may have been moved a bit. My suspicions were confirmed in a conversation with the person who lives in the house next to the trig. He said that the farmer had moved it about 35 yards. I forgot to take a gps reading. It is now next to the fence ner the hosuse/farm yard. The man told me he was fine with me hopping over the couple of fences to get to the trig but advised me to take care not to touch the electric fence as it has mains power going through it! Glad he told me. I briefly entered the compound with three Tamworth pigs in it bt they were fine. Basically - it's probably best to ask before going to visit this one as there are a few hazards to negotiate.
