Very easy to find. Parked on grass at edge of road and crossed the level crossing. Views were god but Ben Nevis had a bit of cloud on top.

My lowest TP bag to date (beating Idle Stop TP4096 by all of 88cm). Also, unintentionally, my first consecutive FB numbers - we'd bagged Beinn Bhac (S9706) earlier in the day. Fantastic location, the surrounding hills looking all the more majestic for their covering of snow.

Access gate over rly track (NN 0219 7844). Nice spot. Pillar has an asphalt plug replacing the centre cap; LHS sight hole open. Extensive views S across Loch Eil.

Reckon this is the lowest I've recorded - note - make sure to use the correct level crossing unless a fan of goose poo (and beware of the trig). Glorious spot though with a passing bomber visit (air show I reckon). Tea and cake at the Wild Cat Fort William as reward. Finish this rest day with a visit to Sgurr An Utha - taking a pathless route (fantastic).

Parked in side Street off main Road about half a mile from the Trig. Found a convenient level crossing to cross the railway and walked up the banks of the lock to trig. 2 streams waded through so it might be an idea to park closer and jump the fence. Lovely location even in grotty weather. Magnificent views up and down Loch Eil

Easy access across the railway using the official pedestrian crossing. Block of wood and lump of coal still there. What a view! Excellent.

Has to be absolutely top on the views / effort ratio! Great views both east to Ben Nevis, clear today, and west up the loch. Mysteriously sporting a block of wood and lump of coal, under which were a large colony of earwigs! East s/hole open, centre asphalt, vgc.

Easy bag en route to Rum. Parking available opposite level crossing. Note, travelling west this is the level crossing with kissing gates as well as vehicle gates. Second crossing after turn off to right. Fab views to The Ben.

Spotted this trig whilst on the 'Harry Potter' express so went back following day. A day later I went from this (which I assume to be the lowest trig) to Ben Nevis which is definitely the highest. Intended also to take a picture if the steam train but didn't leave myself enough time to set up the shot

Easy one to bag, takes 10 minutes. Parked in field entrance on A830 heading East, opposite footpath crossing for railway line. Watch out for trains, cross the line, and you will see the Trig easily. Lovely location, but unusual for a Trig to be on a beach.

I wonder why a pillar was needed here, but I am pleased it was. It is a lovely location. I used the easternmost crossing, with the result that I was the wrong side of the river, but there is a footbridge alongside the railway line.

When looking at OS Landranger map 41, one wonders why the OS erected a pillar beside a sea loch at an altitude of just 4m when there are mountainous hills nearby in all directions. A visit to S9707 clearly illustrates why the OS chose this site for a second order triangulation pillar, and again selected the station for continued use in today's satelite era. The views from this point are stunning, and its near neighbours include Ben Nevis. Access to this point is via a level crossing north of the trig. The pillar is in very good condition, GPS plate fitted. Spider has bitumous plug. LHS sighting hole open, others plugged. FB faces NNE. Secondary station in Block NG80, Fort William. Built in 1958 or thereabouts. Now GPS Passive station T1NN0278. Photographed 12/08/2006, GRP.

Awesome views along Loch Eil. Trig is a bit skanky (due to tides) but is in a beautiful location. Easy access direct via level crossing.
