Hidden amongst the gorse but a short steep climb up from road below (need to climb over gates, not really public access) Great views. Got chased by a ram protecting his family!

Jumped over a couple of gates near the farm then an easy walk up to the pillar. More fab views of Southern Dartmoor.

Walked down the lanes from the moor past Hayford Hall. Wonderfully full Devon hedgerows all the way: cow parsley, meadowsweet, red campion, foxglove, fern, kidney vetch, and gorgeous heady honeysuckle. Plus many other wild flowers I wasn't able to name. Easy access. Cap in place with shallow lettering, and one sight-hole open. Later, visited the atmospheric & nostalgic 'time warp' Valiant Soldier in Buckfastleigh, now a pub with no beer.

Hdden in a patch of gorse with the sheep being noisy enough to attract attention from farm was a quick run to and back! Good condition and nice Devon lane location.

vgc, metal cap, shallow letters, in small clearing in gorse at summit, nice view. Pasture. The 5900th pillar to be added to the Register.

At 291 metres this was the highest trigpoint we hadn't been to in the South West of England. We parked in the gateway to the west and headed straight to it across a newly re-seeded field - very stony ground. The trig is just over a fence (not shown on the map) onto sheep pasture, in a large clump of straggly gorse. It would have been good views if the mist wasn't down. Plug with indented lettering.

Not reachable via public access. Useful points of entry to S Dartmoor nearby tho'

Pillar It is there, in the middle of the shot (think small, like tiny sized small).
