Parked in layby at Wallaton Cross. Walked back up road to track and up the edge of field ,following the line of trees.over field to find in hedge , other side to see FP.

vgc, metal cap, shallow letters, BSM style FB, on fenceline at corner, arable fields.

We parked at Wallaton Cross (large layby) and walked back up the lane and headed west along the footpath/track. The hedgelines have been ripped out and the easiest way to the trig is up the side of the stand of fir trees. The trig is visible once you get to the top, on the hedgeline, with the FB facing north. Plug with indented lettering.

Grr, so close ... The nearest you'll get is a footpath, from which the pillar is visable over a field of very young crops, (which is what kept me on the path). Quite un-Devon like countryside hereabouts too.
