walked from Clifton using Salford trail. no views apart from motorway and edge of sub urban area. nice woods to get here. all part of the adventures of bagging trigpoints! got within 20 metres on path

Destroyed in July 1968 as part of motorway development. The pillar was located on a section of the sliproad on the M60 junction 15 exit (see photograph)

GPS indicates N edge of slip lane, not that I stood on the spot! Consistent with 25k mapping. Road in cutting hence trig will have been a few m higher. OS say Dest 07/68. Walked in from S, bonus benchmark on Wardley Grange nearby

Missing. Drive-by on the southbound slip-road from Jn 15 M62 west-bound leading to A580. Co-ordinates coincide with edge of slip road, so it counts as being a drive-by. Little other chance of approaching this point. Pete got a picture of a crash barrier by way of a gesture!
