Called by this hilltop whilst on a through route from Carlisle to Caldbeck. Uncomfortably cold throughout, but still an enjoyable enough walk even if I had some quite persistent sleety rain to dampen things up for the walk down to the village.

Parked opposite the lane up to the farm. Followed the track up to the mast and then right through the gate to the trig. The freezing fog is back :o(.

From the B5299 follow the road up Fell Hill Glamping Pods. Then follow the trail up the communications tower. Just before the tower, there is a gate from which you can see the trig. Good views across the Solway and towards the northern fells.

Our last of three easy TP's on a damp afternoon. Parked up by the FP / Lane and headed towards the mast. Took the gate on the left just before the mast where the pillar is clearly visible in the field. Nice views of the Northern Fells and, on the way back to the car, looking down on the Solway in the distance. Struggled to find a pub open on a Thursday afternoon in Feb, but fortunately the Globe at Calthwaite opened at 3pm for a warm up an ale.

Just a short walk from the road on the access lane for the Fellhill camping pods and farm. This lane is a ROW, when you reach the radio mast the trig is visible to the left over a metal gate. A nice straight forward bag.

Nice 'N' easy. Jogged up Fellhill farm track and then a bit further. Views not as spectacular as Barren Fell where I had just come from, but still good towards Scotland.

Along Fell Hill Farm access road then through field gate by mast compound. Pillar sits on a small mound next to field boundary fencing at the edge of an unused pasture, or silage field. Original top cap has been lost, replaced by a mortar plug; LHS sight hole open. Extensive panoramic views. Benchmark rivet found on the milkstand.
