Bagged as part of a 7.2 mile walk from Hopesay village taking in this and the nearby Burrow and Hopesay Hill. Easy ascent up this one on permissive path from the road. Mixed weather but mostly sunny with the odd shower. We saw no one about. Bagged Bringewood trig later that day.

signs said all footpaths closed due to recent storms,the main path to the pillar is totally clear even after last nights storm eunice, great views for such little effort.

I seemed destined not to bag this one. Main access road closure, so walked from hamlet to courtesy path, then a sign said all paths closed due to forestry operations. There were no operatives working, so I ignored the signs and walked up the steep path. Beautifully sunlit with views only to The Ludlow Anticline.

Nice little hill with limited views but a gap in trees revealed view to the Malvern Hills. Walked from Craven Arms via Hopesay Church and return via Cheney Longville on delightful path with good autumn colours.

Alas the last one of the holiday, a walk on the amazing fort ridges of Burrow then keeping to the Shropshire Way and a permissive path on to this wonderful little hill. Get talking to a farmer who's had horses on the ridge for years - National Trust has told him they have to go seems a shame. A milky sun and then right above us a red kite comes to see what we're up to. Magical.

Last of 4 hills on circular walk from Hopesay. From minor road to S on permissive path. Trig on short grassy hill summit. Pillar in good condition with dirty white coat of paint; original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; all sight holes open. Views in arc NW through E partially obscured by conifers; no views in other directions.

I came on the train to Craven Arms for a day visit to the area. I followed the Shropshire Way for a few miles after having a quick look at Stokesay Castle. The visibility was great up at the trig and I could see for well over twenty miles into Mid Wales. I descended through the forest before heading onwards to Callow Hill trig pillar.

Parking possible on the road with a bit of care, then its an easy if steep walk up the hill from the gate. Not much of a view from the top due to the surrounding trees but its a pleasant enough little summit.

Gets an eight for almost the perfect summit. Shame the views are a litle obscured by trees. First trig of the day having cycled up from Hereford - fantastic clear visibility after overnight rain.

Pleasent walk up this fine little hill. It is a shame the trees have now grown round and blocked certain views. If the trees were not here it would be great 360degree view of valley. Also from here are good views across to Ludlow with the church and castle clearly visible.

Lovely place - very interesting. Bagged whilst doing Warthill, Home on the Hill GeoCache! Slightly cloudy, so views not wonderful, but pleasant weather. We took the "shortcut" route, so had a good climb... we're certainly getting fitter!

We met a 77 year old rambler on the way up to this one via the permissive footpath. I managed to keep up with him but we both beat Shane to the top (she needs more exercise I reckon). Plug with indented lettering.

Lots of trees close to the trig so limited views. Enjoyed the ambience of the area though. Part of the Craven Arms Wart Hill Wander and the hill is a hard climb but worth the effort.
